FAQS

Find answers to your questions before joining a tour so that you can find out exactly what you want to know.

When will our tour start?

Your tour starts from 4:00 am to get your breakfast and transportation to the launch site, your ride is usually done about 05:15 a.m., to catch the sunrise glow in the distant horizon. The nice thing about Luxor weather is that it allows daily balloon trips to take place throughout the year.

Is there any limitations?

As a general rule, we don’t fly children under the basket’s height or below the age of three. There is no upper age restriction, but passengers must be healthy, capable of flying, and willing to go on an experience. Ballooning is not recommended for pregnant women, persons with limited movement, or anyone with health problems (heart matters, brittle bones, neck or back conditions). Any balloon trip needs some physical power to get into and out of the basket, whether it is upright or lying on its side.

HOw far will we fly? where will we land?

Until you’re in the air, you won’t know where you’re going. We travel an average of 4 miles every day, depending on the wind. You have no sense of movement since balloons travel at the speed of the wind. Your pilot will shift altitude to seek for alternative wind channels before deciding on the optimal flight route.

what should I put on? What am I supposed to bring?

Early in the mornings, it can be a little chilly, but it quickly warms up, so a jacket or sweater that can be taken off later is a good option. The heat from the burners might be annoying, therefore a cap is suggested. Long pants and long sleeves, particularly in natural fibres, and closed shoes are recommended.

Can we have a special ride just for our family?

That’s our private balloon rides. Our balloons are available in a variety of sizes. We’ll use the basket that best suit the number of persons planned for that day.

Is ballooning safe?

We prioritise your safety and only fly in ideal weather conditions. We have a fleet of new hot air balloons, as well as experienced and pleasant pilots that practise safe weather ballooning.

What happens if my flight is cancelled?

We only cancel when heavy winds, rain, or extremely bad visibility force us to do so. If your flight is cancelled, you will be refunded in full. Alternatively, we can book you in our next flight if your schedule and availability in our balloons allow us to.

Information prior to flight

We will give you with the time you will be picked up at your accommodation and all other details the evening before your flight. Keep in mind that ballooning is weather-dependent, and if the pilot believes the conditions are unsuitable, the trip will be cancelled. If you would like to try another day, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can verify availability.

Does the basket sway when flying?

As the basket travels with the wind, the basket does not swing. There’s no need to be concerned about motion sickness.

Do we have to tip our balloon crew and pilot?

As for any other service provider, a tip is always welcomed, it is also considered a sign for liking the ride.
